The Boraie Development’s New Brunswick Vision 40 Years Later

The Free Summer Movies Series made a return summer 2016, courtesy of the Boraie Development and The Provident Bank Foundation sponsorships. They featured a variety of movies including Aladdin, Despicable ME, Monster University, Frozen, and the Extra Terrestrial between July 12th and August 16th. The event did not attract any charges for the films. The rationale of the event is to promote bonding among families in the community. The State Theatre, the event’s host, is a landmark in New Jersey. The moviegoers get a memorable experience as they will enjoy the latest technology in camera projection, a 46-inch screen, and digital sound system. The state theater has a capacity of 1850 seats. The company’s current development in New Brunswick is a deluxe high-end market residential property located in Somerset street. The project is an Omar Boraie inspired concept that he envisioned forty years back. Omar is the current president of Boraie Development. His visit to Europe as a student inspired him to rebuild New Brunswick.

Forty-one years ago, the streets that host New Brunswick were not as active, and by 4 pm there was no activity. For Omar Boraie, this showed the potential for future growth in the area. He identified 21 dilapidated and unoccupied buildings and purchased them one by one. He then laid out a plan to transform the area into an uptown area. As construction for office spaces and towers continued, Omar saw the need for luxury residential units.

One Spring Street Condominium building, the tallest building in New Brunswick, hosts residential units, retail and office spaces and a parking garage that can hold 400 cars. This development attracted criticism because of the choice of location. Nevertheless, the building was sold out two months after completion. Omar Boraie continues to surprise skeptics with his innovative and out of the norm buildings in New Brunswick. The Aspire and Spring street are another magnificent piece of work by Boraie Development. According to Omar, need for luxury apartments to cater for demand from professionals that enjoy the city’s culture will steer growth in New Brunswick. Boraie developments will continue to provide for this group. Visit boraie.com
